Born in Sydney, Tammie grew up with a love of all things creative. Encouraged to “be the best that you can be” and “never be afraid to try”, her childhood was full of fun – an abundance of summer holidays at the beach, learning to cook, sew and draw. Many fun projects and happy memories were made. At a young age, she went with an Aunt to a play about Pablo Picasso’s life, as well as visiting a Picasso exhibition. She was hooked!
Her love of the arts extended into her career and she has been a graphic designer for almost twenty years. Having worked in the creative scene as a graphic designer, Tammie rekindled her lifelong love of fine arts after much encouragement from family and friends. It is a place of solace from her busy schedule running a graphic design business and most importantly, being a mum.
Colour is the dominant feature in her works. She uses many mediums – painting, photography and digital artworks created on her computer. The digital artworks are reproduced as limited edition gicleé prints on 100% cotton rag archival paper.
One person viewing her work recently said “The colours! – they make me feel so happy.”
Tammie works from her studio at her home in Wahroonga.
She is available for commission work.
